Why is Lake Havasu Water Level so High? |

It’s one thing when our guests take note of the high level of water on the lake but many guests have asked why it seems so unusually high.

Here is Why.

More water is released from Lake Mead and Lake Powell to supply the demand and California has the largest entitlements to these lakes, and Lake Havasu serves as a balancing reservoir.

To supply this – Lake Havasu does not vary more than 5 feet, and in the Summer Months is consistently 98% or more full.

But while Lake Havasu is high, Lake Powell is at 28% capacity and Lake Mead is at 34% capacity, unfortunately will continue to get lower.
We hope you come join us this year and enjoy our pristine water and the best water level in all of the Colorado River.
